Testomonial - Balto (2023)

After spending the last 35 years raising and working with high content wolfdogs, I wanted a dog that had that wolflike look, but was all dog. I did my research on Tamaskans and decided that was the perfect dog for me. We also wanted a dog that we could safely raise around our two cats. I contacted several Tamaskan “Breeders” and was getting the run-around, until I came across Blustag Tamaskan in North Carolina. From the moment I contacted them, they were extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. They emailed me photos, gave me info about current litters that were being expected, parent info, temperament, etc. They stayed in contact with me and when the next litter was born, sent me pictures, videos, etc. I was able to pick out my puppy and they held him for me until he was weaned. Since I live in Arizona, they actually sent him on a plane WITH a surrogate. They took such great care of him! Balto is now 21 months old. Not only is he a gorgeous animal, he has one of the sweetest dispositions I’ve ever seen in a dog. He is friendly with people and gets along great with all the dogs at the dog park. And more importantly, he is best buddies with the cats! We could not be happier with him. We took him to six weeks of puppy training classes when he was younger, and he responded very well. AND, he was completely housebroken in ONE week! He is intelligent and energetic. I am planning on getting him involved in Search and Rescue and possibly Agility as well. If you are serious about getting a Tamaskan, I HIGHLY recommend Blustag Tamaskans of North Carolina! Chris and Mina
